I am taken aback by the sudden death of the King of Pop: Michael Jackson. The Los Angeles coroner pronounced the 50-year-old music legend dead at 2:26 p.m. PST, nearly two hours after he collapsed at his rented home in Holmby Hills, California. He later succumbed to cardiac arrest.

Despite the efforts of the paramedics and Micheal’s personal doctor, they couldn’t resuscitate him — at which point he was rushed to UCLA Medical Center, where a team of highly-trained doctors also tried for more than an hour to revive Michael.

What a tragic ending for the little boy from Gary, Indiana, who later became one of the greatest entertainers of all times. The man was indeed a true music legend, whose album “Thriller” remains the all-time best-selling album.

It seem like it was only yesterday when I first heard the Jackson 5‘s hit songs on the radio in New York City. My first impression of Michael was that he was a rare musical phenomenon. He was truly a class act who was second to none.

Over the years, I have pitied his brothers and often wondered what their life would be after the Jackson 5′s golden era. After Michael, I must confess that I admire Tito Jackson, whom I consider to be Michael’s body guard.

Once Michael went solo, he never looked back. Only his sister Janet was able to capture some of the musical greatness for which he have been known world wide.

I am saddened that some journalists and bloggers are taking advantage of Michael’s death for personal gain. When the man was alive they vilified him. After he died, they are now salivating over themselves anticipating an instant payday.

It is just a matter of time that heartless journalist or blogger — with the mentality of a vulture — will “expose” some dirt on the late pop star. During these tough economic times, who can blame the fiends.

Here at Wil’s Domain, I have opted to post a Weblog entry in honor of the “boy who never grew up.” Yes, Michael has some mental issues; however, I hope the positives will outweigh the negatives.

Alas, the final curtains has been called for the King of Pop: Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson is hated by many of his enemies but loved by ALL of his loyal fans.

To me, Michael Jackson will always will best be remembered for:

Michael is survived by his father and mother; Joseph and Katherine; his three children, Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr. (also known as “Prince”), and a daughter, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson,

; his five brothers, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Randy; and three sisters, Janet, Rebbie and La Toya.

Rest is peace, Michael. We will greatly miss you.

In Michael’s memory, every concerned fan (including this United States Marine) should support animal rights organizations like the World Society for the Protection of Animals.

Because he loved animals, it would prove novel if his fans would support the World Society for the Protection of Animals.

The King of Pop would be proud of his many fans’ supporting the World Society for the Protection of Animals if he were alive. If you care about the welfare of animals, click the link below to learn how you can:
