 Proven track record of surgical scheduling Plastics, Ortho, Endo, Ent, Eyes, Pain Mgmt, Mua’s, local cases, with positive results between all parties involved in each case creating a win-win situation with our physicians, patients, staff & Anesthesia Dept. Scheduled all patient procedures and maintained all the appropriate paperwork. Screened all scheduling request for approved procedures for an Ambulatory Surgical Center. Check charts for completeness. Obtain necessary signatures for chart completeness (within 30 days of the procedure). Over sees the filing of all chart materials. Inform the Site Coordinator of incomplete charts over 30 days. Prepares data for chart compliance audits.
 Ensures needed equipment is available so that there aren’t any conflicts. Notify the Director of Nursing, when specialized reps are needed. Confirm scheduled date of service and time of surgery and communicated names and numbers booked for each specialized case. Advise of any changes in times or cancellations & rescheduled dates of service. Updates block time.
 Experienced in all aspects of insurance verification benefits, precerts, appeals. Coordinate details with either cosmetic fees, commercial insurance fees or special equipment fees for some cosmetic cases.
 Coordinates transportation & resolve conflicts with request that are at the same time as the other physicians with the same block time. It takes a lot of time to utilize our one driver with the demands of many physicians that have patients in different Operating Rooms that have the same block time to utilize the geographical area and time frame given to accommodate everyone’s requests.
 Demonstrate knowledge of the Center’s budget endeavor to reduce waste and ensure cost containment. Maintain a professional relationship with patients and physician offices.
 Demonstrates knowledge and skill understanding and using the Center’s computer system for documentation, charging, list reports and inventory. Maintains patient confidentiality as well as medical records and assigned computer codes.
 Maintains open collaborative dialogue with my fellow colleagues, physicians, & families to get positive results with insurance carriers accommodating our Center’s out of net work facility. With the goal to create a win-win situation. Promoting our patients to feel compelled to share their positive experience.

 Experienced in surgical scheduling for various surgical specialties such as: General Surgery,Endo, Urology, Ortho, Pain Management, Ent. Committed & dedicated to the team of physicians and administration who recruited me from Monmouth Medical. Established rapport with the offices and learned how the physicians preferred their cases lined up and then coordinated with the schedule, working with any conflicts. We had 1 x-ray tech so team work was essential. If we had any delays or any rooms were running late or ahead of schedule communication with all parties was essential to facilitate the schedule.

 Communication to get the residents for the surgeon. Excellent communication skills with the Charge Anesthesiologist to keep his staff posted for reliefs. Always being prepared for any changes, listening when the nurses ask you to follow through with something. Inn house communication as to how the schedule was running. The ability to switch on a dime if the ER case bumped the OR schedules I had to keep all parties advised as to when their cases would be going. Keeping family members posted.
