On Saturday, thousands of people stood in long lines at 221 locations across the U.S. to buy the tablet computer which offers you access via WiFi to the Internet, affords you the opportunity to read your email anywhere in which you have WiFi/Internet access, offers many exciting games you can play, and inundate you with a wide selection of entertainment. Sadly, many buyers realized later that they bought a iPad WiFi, not a iPad 3G (a.k.a. iPad WiFi + 3G). Grrr!
Today I am one the many Apple aficionados who is waiting for the release of the iPad 3G. Because I sense others Apple users feel the same, I wanted to get your feedback. What else do you love or hate about the Apple iPad WiFi tablet? Why?
Whether it’s negative or positive, your comments about the iPad WiFi or the soon-to-be-released iPad 3G are greatly appreciated. Does the Apple iPad WiFi tablet sucks or rocks?
I’ve decided to post this Weblog entry about yet another iPad review about the iPad. Why? Because many readers showed a lot of interest about my recent Weblog entry about my dear friend Bobcat, an awesome raven-haired technologist who loves technology and enjoys helping other. She was among the fortunate few who claimed her “share” of the many “apples” Steve Jobs released on Saturday: she bought 2 Apple iPad “WiFi” tablets.
What does the radical Bobcat thinks about the iPad WiFi tablet?
As a technologist, she have shared with me about her likes and dislikes about the iPad. Because she loves gadgets and all other tech-related products, she opted to buy an iPad WiFi for research purposes. Here’s what Bobcat hates about the portable device:
- She loves the iPad with Wi-Fi connectivity; however, she actually wanted the iPad 3G model which offers the power of 3G.
- The portable device has many security bugs which requires her to immediately download many security patches. Grrr!
- The iPad WiFi does not have a Webcam.
- It has no USB port. Grrr!
Next, here’s what she loves about the iPad 3G:
- The iPad is a radical combination of the Amazon Kindle, the smartphone and a lat top computer. Awesome!
- She loves the iPad 9.7 inch hi-definition touchscreen.
- Apple’s 1G Mhz processor truly rocks.
- The portable device runs all of Apple’s iPhone applications. Great!
- The iPad offers you the best Internet browsing experience ever.
- Apple users have direct access to the Apple’s iTune Store, from which they can buy content for their new iPads.
- You have WiFi connectivity. (Later this month Apple will release another version with 3G connectivity.)
- The pricing for the iPad WiFi is outstanding… the 16GB model is $499; the 32GB model is $599; and the 64 GB model is $699. The iPad 3g will start at $829. Cool!
